Blarney was leased to Ellen’s niece Barbara Baird in 1970. In 1972, Ellen transferred Blarney’s ownership to Barbara Baird and Mark Sloan, Ellen’s grandson. In 1977/78 Blarney was shipped to Danica Cuckovich Piers/Dubois of Fa Raad Arabians in Northern California. He was eventually owned by Joan Schleicher of Cambria, California where he sired 9 foals.
Blarney was ridden in endurance competitions in California in the late 1970 and early 1980s. The AERC online records database only goes back to 1985 so his exact lifetime AERC miles is unknown.
