Turgan’s dam Ghadib was leased by Doyle cousin Barbara Baird. Barbara bred Blarney to Ghadib in 1973 to produce Turgan. In 1980 he was leased to Dave Bohart of Star, Idaho for breeding purposes. He returned to Iowa in 1981 and eventually retired there as a riding horse without leaving any offspring.
