In 1965, Jerry Smith of Colorado Springs, Colorago leased Gulnara and acquired her foal by Ibn Gulida from Ellen Doyle. Jerry Smith sold Sierra Satin as a yearling to people in the Colorado Springs area. She was owned by a number of people and finally end up with Deborah Hawley of Rittman, Ohio in 1979.
